INVITATION WORDING GUIDE
Ultimately, we believe that every detail of your wedding should be full of personality and uniquely you, including your invites!
If you're feeling stuck and need some inspiration to begin, see the guide below for helpful tips and examples!
WHAT INFORMATION SHOULD YOU INCLUDE?
FOR THE INVITATION:
FOR THE DETAILS CARD:
+ Who's Hosting
(traditionally the parent's of the bride would be included in this spot but for events where all parent's are chipping in, each parent should be listed or grouped together. for events hosted by the couple "together. with their families may suffice.)

+ The Request to Attend
(the text used to welcome your guest to your wedding - "the pleasure of your company is requested")

+ Names of the Couple
(traditionally the bride is listed first as her family is hosting. names can be listed as first, first and middle, or full names depending on the formality of the event.)

+ The Date and Time
(for formal weddings, all information is written out in full - no numerals.)

+ The Location
(the venue name should be included. if the address is necessary to avoid confusion, it should be included as well. otherwise, city and state is sufficient and should be written out in full.)

+ Reception Information
(for suites with a details card, this information can be included there. otherwise, "reception to follow" or minimal reception information can be included on the invitation itself.)

+ Dress Code
(if necessary.)
Details cards can be used to pass on any additional information you may need to get to your guests. The below are some examples of information you may want to include, but ultimately, this should be determined based on necessity for your event.

+ Reception Information
(if there is too much information to include on the Invitation, the reception info - such as location, time, and other details should go here.)

+ Menu Items
(if you'd like to inform your guests for what each entrée provided will include, you may list that information here and include areas to select on the RSVP card.)

+ Directions or Map
(if the location from your ceremony to reception, or accommodations may require additional information, that text can be included here. illustrated maps can also be included.)

+ Accommodations
(if hotel or travel accommodations have been made, this information should be included here.)

FOR THE RSVP:
+ Respond by Date
(this is usually dictated by when a final guest count is needed for vendors. make sure to give yourself time to account for late replies.)

+ Entrée Options
(if necessary.)
